Welcome to the Terrace Information Page

The Terrace Elementary Library is open to the staff, students, and family members. Daily hours are from 7:00-4:00.

The library has an open checkout policy enabling students, with a pass from their classroom teacher, to check out new books throughout the day aside from their weekly library visit.

Kindergarten and First grade are allowed to check out one book each week. Other grades may select one additional book per grade level. Additional books may be allowed at the librarians descretion.
- If a book(s) is not returned or renewed bi-weekly, it becomes an overdue book. Reminder slips for overdue books are sent home as needed. Students must pay for books damaged beyond repair and lost books. If the book is found and returned, the student is reimbursed.
- Adult volunteers are an integral part of the Terrace Library program. They help shelve books, occasionally read to classes, and assist at the checkout desk.
- The Terrace Library resources include an online public access catalog found on the SBISD Library Resources Page, both of which can be accessed from home. Usernames and passwords for the subscription databases on the Library Resources Page can be obtained from the librarian.
